December 22 - 28, 2018 - Family time before leaving

December 22, 2017 _ Spending Time with family before leaving


Nicky, Brent, Lyla and Parker on the 24th.
 The 3 grand children were reunited.
 

We were so blessed by our family get together.
 Natalie, Michael and our new grandson, Cooper
showed up the 22nd from Pennsylvania 
 




We are so blessed that we have 4 generations sharing Christmas meal

December 28, 2017 _ On our Way
Steve and I woke up at 5am with a fully packed truck and headed south.
Reunited with GaYa

Picked up our boat's registration which we had to leave last year at the Customs and Homeland Securities at the Ft Pierce airport.

We made it to Florida and now are reunited with our GaYa in Fort Pierce.  So much work to do.  So far we have washed and waxed the boat, cleaned the inside of the boat, cleaned the upholstery, filled up the propane tanks and started doing groceries.



 
 


We spent New Year's Eve with Nicky, Brent, Lyla and Parker since they live only 50 miles away from Fort Pierce.  On the way to their house, we stopped in at Riviera Beach to reserve a spot for January 7th.  We saw Dr. Jim's boat at the marina.




Brent did a series of fireworks and ended with a great fire.  It was a perfect evening for a bomb fire in Florida.  Happy New Years to all.
 
  The plan is we go back to the boat on the 1st and have the sails and Bimini on before the launch on Wednesday. That is right...the boat is going in the water on Wednesday and then we plan to take her to Riviera Beach Marina on Thursday.  We will then wait for a window of opportunity to cross the gulf to the Bahamas.
